Abaxia's commercial success is built on a solid foundation of technological know-how.
Our handset-independent platform is the foundation for all of our software applications.

Abaxia's platform allows reduced software development costs, increased platform stability and robustness as well as reduced time-to-market. More importantly, our platform allows for highly-scaleable porting to the largest number of real-time OS (RTOS) handsets.
Our drag-and-drop graphical UI development tool produces a single customization file for use across all handsets, allowing our customers to move rapidly from prototyping to deployment.
Our commercial track record is based on a solid foundation of technology IP and know-how of in-ROM deployment across millions of handsets. We work closely with manufacturers for access to private handsets APIs and flawless handset integration, both of which are pre-requisites for delivering successful active idle screen solutions.
Mobile handsets can connect to operator networks, local wireless networks, and even other handsets. Abaxia has strong expertise in these different communication layers and knows how to enable the most appropriate connection at any given time. Abaxia's expertise obviously includes the various transportation layers (Wi-Fi, CSD, HDCSD, GPRS, UMTS) of the mobile value chain. We understand their advantages and drawbacks for security, configuration and access. Abaxia also masters the administration of the different communication ports of mobile handsets, including serial ports, IrDA, and Bluetooth. This competency is required to establish any type of connection, since it is the first communication layer.
Abaxia uses HTML, WML, XML, CHTML for developing WAP and i-mode services; and C, C++, EVB, Code Warrior, Java, and J2ME to produce mobile applications.
Abaxia is very experienced developing services for SMS, EMS, and MMS and indeed has developed an SMS client that can send and receive SMS to and from a mobile device, enabling OTA (over the air) configuration updates.
Abaxia is fully skilled in a variety of open and proprietary operating systems and development environments.
